The products we ship are only as good as what's underneath them. As a Backend Developer, you'll design and build the APIs, data models, and services that power client products — and keep them fast, secure, and maintainable.

You'll own features end to end, from schema to deploy, and work closely with front-end and product to ship things that hold up in production. We value clean, well-tested code and pragmatic decisions over gold-plating.

We build with AI on both sides: you'll use AI coding tools to move faster, and you'll build the backends behind AI features — model APIs, vector stores, and the jobs that tie them together.

What you'll do
  • Design and build APIs and services that front-end and third parties consume.
  • Model data and write efficient queries; own migrations and data integrity.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD, observability, and the infrastructure your services run on.
  • Write tested, reviewable code and take part in code review across the team.
  • Harden for production: auth, rate limits, error handling, and security basics.
  • Build and integrate AI features — LLM APIs, embeddings/vector search, and background jobs.
  • Debug and resolve issues in live systems, and improve what caused them.
What we're looking for
  • 3+ years building and running backend systems in production.
  • Strong in at least one backend language/ecosystem (e.g. Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go).
  • Solid with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL) and API design (REST or GraphQL).
  • Comfortable with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on with AI dev tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and a clear sense of when to trust them.
  • Fluent English; a link to code (GitHub or similar) is required to apply.
Bonus points
  • Experience with serverless, queues, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience shipping LLM features — RAG, vector databases, or agents.
  • Exposure to front-end work or full-stack delivery.
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and strong observability practices.

Salary

€55k–€150kgross / year, depending on experience
